The company or product logo is the most important single item any new startup company needs to address. Sadly, it is often set aside for later. The reasoning being, “…when our business takes off, then we’ll put the effort in doing something great”. They will then proceed to create something ‘temporary’ in-house as a stop gap measure. This is a BIG Mistake!
We can’t stress enough that putting your best foot forward in the beginning is so important. You will use this ‘logo’ for a long time in a variety of ways. So later when you decide to do something “GREAT” and professional and begin to use that new artwork, it is a huge disconnect from everything you have done in the past. It usually sends mixed messages, confuses your clients and fails to leverage all your prior efforts.
